April was a sad month for the Mother City dealing with the aftermath of the devastating Rhodes Memorial fire. While the fire has been contained, as South Africans we have lost iconic landmarks and a portion of our history during this blaze. All is however not only negative as numerous residents jumped in in a variety of ways to help combat the impact of the devastating fire. It is at times like these that we are reminded of our true South African spirit and determination. Today we are proud to be called South Africans.
We would also like to wish all our Mommies a very blessed Mother’s day. Being a Mom can sometimes be an unthankful job, but a choice we make everyday to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of our own. We teach, we forgive, we continue, even when we are so tired that we do not know how to put one foot in front of the other. And tomorrow, we do it all again. We love our Moms!
During this month we would also like to wish Shirlene and Jean in our office a happy birthday. May your candles burn bright and your lights continue to shine.
